The foundations every other channel stands on

Content, links and AI visibility all depend on one unglamorous fact: search engines have to be able to crawl your pages, understand which version is the real one, and serve them quickly. Technical SEO is the work of making that true. Problems here are often invisible to the people who run the site day to day, yet they can quietly suppress hundreds of pages.

Technical SEO and technical AEO share most of their checks. The difference is scope: technical SEO covers the whole site’s health in search, including speed, architecture and migrations, while technical AEO focuses on whether AI crawlers can fetch and read your best answers.

What we audit and fix

Crawling and indexing

We compare what you want indexed with what search engines have actually indexed, using Search Console, server logs where available and our own crawls. Typical findings include important pages that are never crawled, crawl budget wasted on filters and parameters, accidental noindex tags, soft 404s, redirect chains and canonical tags that point the wrong way.

Core Web Vitals and page experience

We measure loading, responsiveness and layout stability on real templates, using field data where it exists, then identify the specific causes: oversized images, render-blocking scripts, slow servers, heavy third-party tags or layout shifts from late-loading elements.

Architecture and internal linking

We look at how pages are grouped, how deep important pages sit and how link equity flows. Clear hubs for your main services and topics help both users and crawlers, and they make it obvious which page should rank for which question.

Structured data and rich results

We implement and validate markup that reflects visible content, such as Organization, Product, Article and BreadcrumbList, and fix errors reported in Search Console. See our schema guide for the types that matter.

International and multi-location sites

Hreflang, regional URLs and location pages are frequent sources of duplication and confusion. We set up clear signals so the right version reaches the right market.

Migrations and redesigns

A redesign, platform change or domain move is where the most organic traffic is lost. We plan redirects, check staging, monitor launch and fix issues in the first weeks, when they matter most.

Typical deliverables

  • Crawl and index coverage audit
  • Core Web Vitals diagnosis per template
  • Architecture and internal linking plan
  • Structured data fixes and validation
  • Migration plan with redirect map and launch checklist, when needed
  • Developer tickets with priority, effort and the expected effect of each fix

Who it suits

Growing sites that have outpaced their original build, ecommerce catalogues with thousands of URLs, JavaScript-heavy sites and any business planning a redesign or platform move. If you need help measuring the effect of fixes, our guide to tracking AI traffic in GA4 covers part of the reporting set-up.

Questions about technical SEO

How often should a technical audit be done?

A full audit once a year is reasonable for most sites, with lighter monthly checks of Search Console and key templates. Any redesign, migration or major plugin change deserves its own check.

Can you work with our developers?

Yes. Most of our technical work ends as clear tickets for your team, and we review the changes before and after release.

Which platforms do you work on?

WordPress, Webflow, Shopify and custom builds. The principles are the same; the fixes differ by platform.
